FFC07 - Element Theme...

Welcome back to a new challenge at Festive Friday! This is going to be a JAM-PACKED post, as we have a lot in store for you today, so get comfortable, sit back, and take it all in...

Last week we had our highest number of players so far, which was really exciting for us. And apparently, the Retro theme was a really popular, if not challenging one! Because we had so many entries, we couldn't pick just three shout outs this week - so we decided to break the rules and choose four!

Shout Outs!

We love how Anja used our inspiration graphic to create her design - and she did it so well!

Kim hand cut the perfect shape to showcase her sentiment, fitting so exactly to the theme.

Kimberly executed this perfectly Retro design in perfectly Retro colours... an easy choice!

We love the style of snowflakes that Liz chose for this simple but stunning design - they were the right choice for this theme!

And now, our winner, who wowed us all with her creation!

Winner!

We loved Maureen's perfect layers and beautiful Retro holiday imagery on this beautiful card!

Congratulations ladies! Please email Meredith at delightfulwaste@gmail.com for your blog badges!

Alright, on to this week's challenge. It's time for another Element Challenge!

We want to see you incorporate a bird into your design - whether it's the focal point or an accent, it doesn't matter... we just want to see a bird!

Here is some inspiration from a few of our Design Team members for you!

Just a note for you - we have changed things up with our Design Team reveals for you, so that we can offer even more inspiration both weeks of our challenge. We'll explain more about these changes in our second week post next Friday, so make sure you stop by to find out what we have in store for you!

And this week, we are thrilled to welcome Laurie Willison as our guest designer!

My name is Laurie Willison.  You can usually find me crafting away in my craft room while the kids are in school or when they are sleeping!  :)  Other than that I am a part time RN and I live in the country with my very own farm boy and our 2 kiddos. :)  I love the outdoors and if I had my way I would live in the mountains.  I also love photography and am going to try my hand at Project Life....someday.  ;)

I have been stamping since 2007, when a sweet friend of mine introduced me and I started scrapbooking in 1998 ish.  (I still try on occasion but it doesn't happen very often.  I have had the pleasure and honor of working on several design teams, including my most current, Verve, CAS-ual Fridays and Retro Sketches Challenge Blog.

And here is Laurie's beautiful card!

Now that you've seen what we did with the theme, it's your turn! Create any holiday themed project based on the above theme and link us up below! You can combine our challenge with your other favourite challenges, and enter as many times as you like. This challenge will run until April 24, 2013 at 11:59PST.

***Please remember to link up your actual blog post and not just your blog address!***

***As it takes time for our designers to visit your blog, please consider shutting off your captcha so that we might be able to more easily leave you some love!***

2013 Festive Friday Grand Prize!
We want to give you even more incentive to stay on top of your holiday card stash, and we also want to encourage you to continue playing with us! Our last challenge will launch in the middle of November, and at that time, we will be offering a $40 Gift Certificate to one of three online shops to one lucky player who has participated in 15 or more of our challenges! Keep the images of your entries handy - you'll need them!
