Thank you so much for understanding our little delay! So sorry for the inconvenience, but we're finally back with another Festive Friday challenge! We had an amazing display in our gallery last week! Thank you *so* much to everyone who took time out to play along and link up!
Truly, it's getting harder and harder to pick our favourites! But we did manage to narrow it down, and in no particular order, here they are!
Shout Outs!
We loved Moriah's cool colour scheme, and her beautiful mix of patterned papers!
Sonya created such a *neat* background on her card, and her sparkly snowflake was enough to put this card over the edge!
And our Winner!
Ardyth blew us away with this stunning design - but there is more than meets the eye with this card. You must read her original post to find out why!
Congratulations ladies! Please email me at delightfulwaste@gmail.com and I will get you your badges!
Now, onto this week's challenge! This week, we are issuing a Trigger Challenge. Here is how it works: This week's Trigger is Merry. Whatever that means to you, and however it inspires you, put it into your creation. You are not obligated to use the actual word in your project, just make sure you tell us why the trigger led you in the direction it did.
Here are the design team's projects:
Amber |
Geri |
Melissa |
Meredith |
For this challenge, I am incredibly excited to introduce our guest designer, Susan R. Opel, Creative Editor for Paper Crafts Magazine!
What makes me merry? Bold colors and patterned paper, glitter and sequins, ribbons and rhinestones!
Here is Susan's AWESOME creation for our Trigger Challenge:
Now it's your turn! Create any holiday themed project based on the Trigger Word, Merry! You can combine our challenge with your other favourite challenges, and enter as many times as you like. This challenge will run until March 27, 2013 at 11:59PST. We will post our favourites when the next challenge goes live!
***Please remember to link up your actual blog post and not just your blog address!***
***As it takes time for our designers to visit your blog, please consider shutting off your captcha so that we might be able to more easily leave you some love!***
We are so glad that you are all so excited to get a head start on your holiday projects, and we want to give you even more incentive to stay on top of things, and continue playing with us! Our last challenge will launch in the middle of November, and at that time, we will be offering a $40 Gift Certificate to one of three online shops to one lucky player who has participated in 15 or more of our challenges! Keep the images of your entries handy - you'll need them!

Wow, wow, wow! I'm so honoured to have had my card chosen as the winner! Thanks so much for this wonderful challenge that is definitely helping me keep up with my Christmas cards!
Wow! Thanks for the shout out among all of those beautiful entries! And congrats to Moriah, and Sonya who also received shout outs for their gorgeous cards and to the winner Ardyth! Love the beauty of the gray with the gorgeous snowflake with hidden depths! Incredible concept executed brilliantly! Love it!

Love the Christmas inspiration and Trigger challenge! And I'm so happy to see Susan's very MERRY and FESTIVE card here! What a treat!
I love the word "merry" and use it all year. At Christmas, I joke with my sister Mary about "eat, drink and be Mary." LOL Look for my take tomorrow :)
So glad I found this blog. I love making Christmas cards all year long and I'm so happy I'm not alone in this. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration.
I was visiting buttonsandbling.blogspot.com this morning and Maureen had posted her entry for this challenge. I am brand new to card making and loving every minute of it so I decided to take the plunge and submit a card. I tried to keep in simple just in case I choose this card to send out and have to mass produce it. lol I love this idea of spreading out the holiday tasks all year to lighten the load at Christmas. So glad I found you! I love seeing all the beautiful cards displayed and I am certain to learn alot here.
